BBC share first-look at Sally Wainwright’s thrilling new drama Riot Women

The series, called Riot Women, revolves around the lives of five women who collaborate to form a makeshift punk-rock band and participate in a local talent show.

However, as the group begins to craft their first song, they soon realise they have a multitude of messages to convey. The band rapidly transforms into a vehicle for change in their lives, as they strive to manage the challenges of childcare, complicated parents, demanding careers and relationships.

While their music prompts them to reevaluate everything, BBC viewers will witness a testament to the potency of friendship, music and the resilience of women who refuse to be silenced by age or societal expectations.
