Fans of The Masked Singer are buzzing with speculation that EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy is the face behind the ITV show’s “Bush”. But, speaking on her Off The Telly podcast, the soap icon deflected the rumours.
Chatting to co-host Joanna Page, she questioned, “Can you imagine me doing that?” Leaving no room for doubt, Natalie bluntly added, “I am not Bush.”
Reminding Joanna how much she dislikes performing live, and using their busy podcast recording schedule as an alibi, Natalie argued: “We have worked together for a whole year,” she insisted. “When would I have I squeezed that in?”
Joanna, however, maintained her playful scepticism, vowing to scrutinise the show for more hints.

While Natalie said that The Masked Singer isn’t talked about much in her household, Joanna confessed that her family can’t get enough of ITV’s hit series, and they have all had their suspicions about the soap star turning out to be the celebrity underneath the costume — even though Bush’s singing voice seems to be a little lower than hers.

Despite Natalie’s objections, many fans of The Masked Singer are convinced she’s secretly competing on the show, with other prominent suspects including Scarlett Moffatt, Kerry Godliman, and Katherine Parkinson.
One fan on Reddit has imaginatively suggested that it could be comedian Morgana Robinson “pretending to be Natalie Cassidy”, reports the Mirror. According to betting insiders, Natalie is currently the favourite to be Bush, with odds at 1/2 – indicating a 66.7% chance, while Morgana is further down the list at 10/1 (9.1%).
To date, three stars have been unmasked this season. The latest, Macy Gray, appeared less than pleased to leave, especially after being a finalist in the US version in 2023.

Following her elimination, Gray’s responses were brief and tense. A source speaking to The Sun commented: “This has never happened on The Masked Singer before.”
They continued, “When Macy stormed off stage everyone was frozen in shock but as soon as she reached backstage, crew removed her mask so they could talk her down.”
The insider also revealed, “Macy was almost shellshocked to start with and was basically gutted to be out so early because she really enjoyed being on the American version – when obviously she did brilliantly – so was totally blindsided.”
The drama didn’t stop there, as an ITV source claimed to The Mirror that the American singer declined to participate in the post-show interview, a tradition for celebrities after their departure from the show.
