Linda Nolan had revealed plans for her funeral following her cancer spreading to her brain. The Nolans singer passed away today aged 65 with her famous sisters by her bedside.
Linda revealed she planned to have a ‘blingy’ pink glitter coffin and had chosen the music to play at her memorial. She sadly told the Mirror after her secondary breast cancer spread to her liver and brain: “I think it’s a one-way trip now.”
Speaking about her funeral, she referenced the death of her sister Bernie, who died aged 52 from breast cancer in 2013. Linda shared: “Bernie arranged hers [her funeral]. It’s easier for people left behind.

“I’ve gone into it a little bit. A Neil Sedaka song, Our Last Song Together. And I know the funeral people I’m going to use.”
Linda had also lost her beloved husband Brian Hudson to skin cancer in 2007 aged 60, just a year after she was diagnosed with breast cancer for the first time. She added: “Brian’s coffin was like a flight case, with ‘This way up’, ‘Fragile’ on it.
“Our auntie had a beautiful coffin with pictures of us around it. Then Maureen [Nolan sibling] said ‘Look at this coffin, it was made for you, it’s pink glitter’. I am the blingy Nolan.”
Linda spoke openly about her devastation after the death of husband Brian, revealed she had been assisted by a mental heath crisis team after becoming suicidal. But she also revealed she believed she would see him again upon her own death.
“My illness magnifies my grief for him, but in a way, I’m glad he isn’t here to experience the heartbreak,” she said. “It helps that I believe I’ll see him again.”
Linda and Brian were married for 26 years and met two years before tying the knot in 1979, when Brian was The Nolans’ tour manager. Linda first rose to fame in The Nolans, selling 30 million records with hits such as Attention To Me, Gotta Pull Myself Together and I’m In The Mood For Dancing.
