Moment stubborn BMW driver refuses to let car into lane in bizarre road rage row

Two drivers fighting to go ahead of one another in the centre of London caused a bizarre road rage row, which was caught on a dash cam.

In the footage, the grey vehicle is seen jostling with the smaller Nissan Micra to go a single car length in front. When the driver of the red vehicle refused to let them in, the BMW driver continue to fight for their place on the road, in Hanwell, near Ealing, west London.

The drivers of both cars were forced to brake suddenly to avoid hitting the grey Citroen Xsara in front, who was probably a little confused as to what was happening on the road behind. Eventually, the hatchback motorist was forced to back down and let the other car go first.

The BMW did not take the space graciously however as he stuck an arm out of the window and made an obscene gesture. The 29-second video was taken from the dash cam of a lorry behind.

Locals were left dumbfounded by the BMW driver. One said: “Wow, they saved three metres and two seconds. Worth it.”

Another added: “From what we see it would seem like the red car has the right of way, depending on if the road is merging into one. I hate those types of roads as you do get some drivers that like to try and undercut.”

Mike added: “BMW? Why did the Nissan guy not in the lane think it was okay to push in?”

Others blasted both drivers for behaving like children. One person said: “Children out playing.” Another asked: “Why do they care about 12ft?” One more said: “My God, just for one space.”

Earlier this week the shocking moment two men locked in road rage wrestled in the middle of a busy major A-road was shared. The pair were at a set of traffic lights when they got into a row.

One was driving a grey Toyota Prius and the other was behind the wheel of a maroon Ford Fiesta. Tempers flared as the duo got in a dust-up which resulted in them grappling on the ground.

A woman got out of the Fiesta and came to intervene. One man in a passing car exclaimed: “He’s getting sparked. He’s getting sparked.” It happened on January 12 on the A30 Great South West Road, at Hatton, near Heathrow Airport. One local said: “Two drivers have a full on wrestle near Hatton Cross.”
