King Charles’ ‘personal fear’ keeps him from advising Princess Kate about her future

King Charles, who spent the majority of his life preparing for his current role as monarch and held the title of Prince of Wales longer than anyone else in British history, has reportedly been hesitant to coach his “beloved” daughter-in-law, Princess Kate, on her future role as Queen Consort.

The Sun suggests that despite not yet sitting down with Kate to prepare her for her future position, this doesn’t indicate a lack of a strong relationship between them.

Royal expert Christopher Anderson noted that their shared health challenges over the past year have only brought them closer together, strengthening their bond. However, he added: “The King is not about to be giving Kate advice about being a future queen,” for reasons that are quite touching.

Anderson said: “That would simply give oxygen to the notion that he might not be around much longer, and Charles III intends to stay put on the throne for years to come.”

Intent on leaving a prominent legacy after waiting over seven decades for his turn, the King is reportedly concentrating on the duties at hand as indicated by experts. However, there are hints that Prince William is pondering his future monarchy.

During a November event in South Africa related to the Earthshot Prize, he expressed an interest in shedding some of the traditional formalities linked with royalty. Answering enquiries about his approach to Royal commitments, William remarked: “I can only describe what I’m trying to do and that’s trying to do it differently and I’m trying to do it for my generation.”

He further noted: “I’m doing it with maybe a smaller r in the royal, if you like, that’s maybe a better way of saying it,” reports the Mirror.

Eager to maintain a focus on “impact philanthropy, collaboration, convening and helping people,” William also emphasised the value of empathy, elaborating: “I’m also going to throw empathy in there as well, because I really care about what I do. It helps impact people’s lives … and I think we could do with some more empathetic leadership around the world.”
