Two friends have said they are “overwhelmed” with the response to their business, which is only a few months old. Amy Clucas and Jenna Morgan have been best friends for over a decade and met each other through their work in the NHS.
However, the two upgraded their relationship status last Halloween when they decided to become business partners. Amy, 33, and Jenna, 27, are the founders of Physio At Home – a specialist rehabilitation team for people with various symptoms. The women focus on movement analysis, therapeutic handling and exercise to optimise strength and function, with Jenna claiming there is a clear demand for what they do because of the number of referrals they have received since launching on October 31.
The University of Central Lancashire graduate told the ECHO: “We work for the NHS, and we still want to continue with that because that’s our passion. But we also love the fact we can help the local communities with our jobs.
“There is an obvious need to go into people’s houses these days, especially after Covid. There are so many who can’t go to appointments or clinics, and some just prefer to be treated in their own home.
“It’s about getting people back on their feet. We see people leaving hospitals, and they still need a level of intervention or help – whether this be helping them stand up after sitting, their mobility outside, or even just making a cup of tea. People need a lot of help in the kitchen.”

While Jenna’s expertise lies in stroke rehabilitation and neurological conditions, Amy, a University of Salford graduate, prefers acute medical care, orthopaedics, and neurological rehab.
Although, only a two-women team so far, they hope this year will bring even more growth, allowing them to expand further across the North West. The women, originally from Wigan, currently cover St Helens and Liverpool in Merseyside.
Jenna said: “We’ve had a variety of referrals come through since we started in October. There’s a massive gap, and we want to fill it within the communities. It’s been overwhelming since we started, in a good way. We are working most days and weekends, it has been consistent.
“The dream this year is to keep pushing and get ourselves and the brand out there more. We don’t want people missing out. There are a lot of families who get in touch with us, so extended members benefit too because they can see their loved ones getting better.”
