Man ‘attacked and left bleeding on the floor’ of Weaver line in North London

Police are urging witnesses to come forward following a violent assault on an Overground train in North London. The assault took place on a Weaver line train at around 9.15pm on Saturday, November 23 between Southbury and Theobolds Grove.

British Transport Police (BTP) has said that a man was shoved and assaulted by two men who then left him bleeding on the train floor. Anyone who saw the incident is asked to contact police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 169 or November 24.

A spokesperson for BTP said: “Officers investigating a serious assault on a Weaver line service are appealing for witnesses to come forward. At around 9.15pm on Saturday 23 November on a Weaver line service between Southbury and Theobalds Grove, a man was shoved and assaulted by two men and left bleeding on the floor.

“Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 169 of 24 November. Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
