Martin Lewis issues urgent warning to ‘all’ British Airways passengers

Martin Lewis issues urgent warning to British Airways passengers and revealed a £117 MILLION pot of cash for customers to claims is about to expire. The BBC and ITV star has issued a warning to all British Airways passengers, with £117million in unredeemed eVouchers about to expire.

The 52-year-old Money Saving Expert founder says more than €139 million (£117 million) in British Airways eVouchers are soon set to expire. It comes after, during the Covid crisis, BA issued customers with eVouchers to be spent at a later date after flights were grounded.

MSE said: “The safest option is to redeem your voucher in good time to ensure you don’t lose out.” The new expiry date set by the airline is 30 September, 2025, with customers needing to have taken the flight or used up any package before this date.

BA confirmed: “If your voucher was issued as part of our Book With Confidence policy during the COVID-19 pandemic, it will expire on 30 September 2025. You can use an eVoucher to pay or part-pay for a new booking. Any trip booked using your eVoucher must conclude – departure and return – by 30 September 2025.

“If your voucher was issued by our Customer Relations team, the expiry date will appear on the email you’ve received. The vouchers expire one year from the date they were issued.” If you are unsure whether you’re affected, enter your email address on the BA website.

Once you do this, you’ll receive an email letting you know (including the remaining balance). You can then use them to pay or part-pay for flights online, adding up to four vouchers per booking. They can also be spent on package trip with British Airways Holidays.

But BA says you’ll need to call 0344 493 0787 to do so.
