Weather maps show a snow cloud heading straight for London. Forecasters at WX Charts predict a blanket of the white stuff to hit the capital at around 6pm next Wednesday (January 29).

It comes just days after the capital navigated its way out of a baltic freeze which left some mornings feeling as low as -3C, according to The Met Office. The weather was so bad in some parts of the country that the UK that the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) issued an amber weather warning.

But for the next week the UK’s national forecaster predicts temperatures to hang around the 10C mark, with some humidity. The long-term forecast however predicts showers.

Today (Thursday, January 16)

Mostly dry today, but with large amounts of low cloud and some areas of fog, perhaps some spots of drizzle. Light winds. Temperatures cooler than of late. Maximum temperature 8C.

Tonight will be ‘remaining mostly dry and cloudy overnight, although some drizzle continues to be possible. Some areas of fog are likely. Chilly. Minimum temperature 2C.

Tomorrow (Friday, January 17)

Similar to today, mostly dry with large amounts of cloud, some fog and drizzle possible. Feeling chilly. Maximum temperature 6C.

Saturday (January 19) to Monday (January 21)

Mostly dry but largely cloudy, although some overnight fog patches are possible. Perhaps brighter on Monday. Turning colder.
