Pop star Peter Andre has declared that he’s finally ready to call time on further additions to his family. The ‘Mysterious Girl’ singer opened up about his parenting journey to Heat magazine, sharing that having his first child at 31 and welcoming his last at 51 marked a full-circle moment.
Andre said: “I had my first child at 31, and I’ve had my last child at 51. And that is my last child. Twenty years of having kids! It’s been an amazing experience, but I think what happened this time is that I realised this was our last one. I never had a limit before – it was always that I’d love to have five or six kids, but I know now this is it.”
Age has offered him perspective on the challenges of late parenting, as he joked: “At 51, the lack of sleep feels a little different than it did at 31.” Andre has five children in total – Junior, 19, and Princess, 17, with his ex-wife Katie Price, and Amelia, 10, Theo, eight, and Arabella, eight months, with his wife Emily MacDonagh.

The singer also touched upon personal growth, noting that if he appeared “a bit arrogant” in his twenties, fatherhood set him on a path to self-improvement: “Since having children, it started the journey of me ‘getting better’. I’m definitely a lot more patient. I actually think I’ve become a much better person.”
Over the years, Peter Andre has ventured into various projects, from braving the jungle on ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’ to taking on the role of Frankie Valli on stage in the theatre show ‘The Best of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons’.
Despite his many ventures, Andre admits when it comes to his kids’ views, he rides the line between cringe and cool: “I’m a cringe dad, but I’m also a cool dad. I get dad points when I’m doing stuff like introducing them to the ‘Teletubbies’ or doing something on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, and they get to meet Amanda Holden. I’m cringe in some ways with my jokes and stuff, but then I’m cool in other ways because of all the stuff they get to do, thanks to my work.”
