Sophie Ellis-Bextor shares surprising connection to BBC The Traitors star

Sophie Ellis-Bexter recently stumbled upon a fun connection with this year’s The Traitors series. During an impromptu Q&A on Carnaby Street with a BBC journalist, the 45 year old ‘Murder on the Dancefloor’ sensation disclosed: “I just spend a lot of time thinking about whether or not I’d be a good Traitor. And also I realised I went to school with one of the contestants.”

Sophie didn’t spill all the beans, but social media detectives are buzzing, suggesting that she’s likely talking about Francesca, the 44 year old interior designer from the show, given their close ages. The latest round of The Traitors has viewers on edge, especially after seeing fan favourite Linda ousted for being a Traitor rather than a Faithful.

With Linda’s exit, the spotlight has now swung onto Minah—so far flying under the radar with her innocence unchallenged. Now in the hot seat and potentially isolated, Minah could need to rally some support soon.

Fans of the BBC show have been rallying behind her while speculating that Minah might be next to face banishment after whispers rose about her potential role as a Traitor. She’s blissfully unaware of the situation and was set an assignment to choose who might join her, with hopes pinned on Charlotte.

Yet, following Linda’s departure, fans are gripped by the suspicion that Minah could be next in line, reports the Mirror. Taking to social media, one viewer expressed anxiety, commenting: “They’re coming for Minah next I can feel it.”

Echoing this sentiment, a second stated, “Uh oh, Minah is next,” and another chimed in with an anxious “Minah is so screwed omg.” Pondering over potential recruitments, pleas were made by fans for her to stand strong on her own. A specific fan advised, “Minah don’t recruit you can do this.”

And another supported this solo approach, “Minah stay a lone wolf, do not recruit, winner.” Calls to resist further alliances continue as one remarked, “I beg Minah doesn’t recruit,” followed by someone else urging, “They don’t even need to recruit another Traitor Minah’s got this.”

These reactions come hot on the heels after fan-favourite Fozia’s foresight into Linda’s imminent exit, when she fell victim to the first face-to-face murder of the series, seeing Leon narrowly escape a similar fate. As Minah and Linda revealed themselves to their quarry, Fozia inquired about the unfolding drama, delivering a stark premonition to Linda: “You’re not gonna last. Linda you’re going next.”
