Police have released a CCTV image after a man lost a tooth following an attack in the Northern Quarter. Officers believe the individual pictured may be able to help their investigation into the incident.
According to Greater Manchester Police, an unknown offender approached the entrance of a Tib Street business at around 7.15pm on Saturday, December 14, before becoming aggressive. The suspect then pushed the victim following a discussion, before striking him in the face, causing him to lose a tooth.
The offender made off in an unknown direction and no arrests have been made. Greater Manchester Police has today (December 31) released a CCTV image showing a police wish to speak to in connection with the incident. Enquiries are ongoing and anyone who recognises the man pictured is urged to come forward.
PC Ulzaman, from GMP’s Initial Investigation Unit, said: “This incident has resulted in a man suffering an injury which saw the victim lose a tooth in an unprovoked attack. Over the past couple of weeks we have been trying to the full circumstances of this assault, if anyone was present at the time and witnessed anything, please do not hesitate to make contact with us and if anyone recognises the man in the image, please get in touch also, he may be able to assist us with our enquiries.”
