The BBC is thrilled to announce the comeback of the iconic gameshow Gladiators with a fresh season, fronted by the father-son presenting team Bradley and Barney Walsh.
Anticipation is high as the reinvigorated series premieres this weekend. The first episode, promising an array of even tougher challenges, will air at 5:50 pm today (January 18), marking the start of regular weekly episodes.
Returning to the show are audience favorites Sabre, Legend, Diamond, Phantom, Athena, Bionic, Giant, Dynamite, Comet, Viper, Electro, Apollo, Fury, Steel, and Fire, who have also recently graced the dance floor on Strictly Come Dancing.
Adding to the excitement are two enigmatic new Gladiators joining the lineup, whose identities remain tightly under wraps, according to the Mirror.

This classic event from the original 90s show involves contenders and Gladiators getting into large metallic spheres resembling hamster balls. The aim for the contenders is to navigate these spheres across specific points in the arena to earn points, all while dodging the Gladiators.
Bradley couldn’t contain his excitement about the revamped series, hinting: “The new series is just fantastic, the Gladiators mean business, and they are back tougher than before!”
Furthermore, Bradley disclosed an innovative addition to the show, helmet cameras on the contenders, allowing viewers at home to experience firsthand the challenges faced when confronting the Gladiators.
“It’s a great new feature and brings a whole new dimension to what you see,” he expressed enthusiastically.
