Loose Women star Coleen Nolan ‘lies in bed worrying about how to pay the bills’

The outspoken Loose Women star Coleen Nolan has opened up about her fears over financial security as her 60th birthday looms on the horizon next March. Chatting with Closer UK, Nolan shared insights into her life and emotions as she nears a significant age milestone.

Although she feels “feeling strong and confident” and takes pride in her accomplishments, especially those achieved independently in recent years, there’s still something that troubles her at night. In a candid confession, Coleen revealed: “I’m turning 60 feeling strong and confident, and quite proud of what of what I’ve achieved, especially in the past few years when I’ve achieved it on my own.”

She further confided: “Of course, I still lie in bed at night worrying about how I’m going to pay the bills, but it gives me the incentive to work hard, and that’s good.”

Looking back at her past birthdays, Coleen has decided that instead of big, costly events like she had for her 40th and 50th celebrations, this time around, she’s opting for a quieter affair. She explained: “My 40th and 50th birthdays were big events, but they cost a lot of money, so this year I just want to be surrounded by friends and family, even they come here for a little party,” as reported by Lancs Live.

Having been a familiar face on the Loose Women panel since 2000, Coleen has made quite the impact and shares a deep connection with the show and her colleagues. At 59, she expresses the close-knit relationships she has developed on set, noting: “We’re good friends, as well as colleagues.”, reports the Mirror.

Coleen expressed her enduring friendships from the show, stating, “Ruth (Langsford) and I will be friends forever outside of work and the same goes for Brenda (Edwards), Janet (Street-Porter) and Christine (Lampard).”

Celebrating Loose Women’s 25th anniversary, she openly shared her love for the ITV daytime staple while dispelling the swirling rumours of discord among the presenters. She remarked: “If we hated each other as much some people say we do, we wouldn’t still be going 25 years later.”
