Geordie Shore’s Vicky Pattison in tears as she admits fear about having kids with husband

Vicky Pattison was overcome with emotion as she discussed her journey towards motherhood, admitting that the topic always makes her tearful. The 37-year-old Geordie Shore star has been open about her plans to start a family with her new spouse, Ercan Ramadan, 30, whom she wed earlier this year in Marylebone.

Reports from November stated that Vicky had taken the step to freeze her eggs, with the couple aiming to have a child within the next year. Ercan, in a chat with Express.co.uk, mentioned their mutual decision to focus on work and travel before diving into parenthood.

In a new interview out this week, Vicky spoke candidly about the idea of becoming a mother, which she sees as the “logical next step” for her and Ercan. Speaking to Heat magazine, she said: “That’s the logical next step for Erc and myself and something that we’ve wanted for a while. (Vicky starts to get teary). Sorry, I always get upset when I talk about kids.”

She reflected on how the prospect of having daughters once seemed daunting, but explained she now feels prepared to offer guidance based on her own experiences with self-criticism and public scrutiny. I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’s former queen of the jungle has expressed hope that they will be “blessed in that space and that children are in our future”, reports Chronicle Live.

Ercan, known for his stint on The Only Way is Essex, has embarked on a new business venture, while Vicky remains “super busy with so many shows”.

They first crossed paths through mutual friends five years ago, and Ercan popped the question to Vicky in 2023. Their nuptials were followed by a sun-soaked celebration in Puglia, Italy, set to feature in an upcoming E4 series.

Viewers will get a glimpse of their 150 guests making their way to the London wedding on classic double-decker buses, and the star-studded Italian festivities that included famous faces like Ferne McCann and Mario Falcone. A week after tying the knot, Vicky took to Instagram to share her joy: “I have honestly never felt happiness like it – the most special day of our lives.”

Vicky has been candid about her struggle with premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), a severe health condition causing both physical and emotional symptoms before menstruation. Described by John Hopkins Medicine as an intense form of premenstrual syndrome (PMS), PMDD’s symptoms range from depression and anxiety, to mood swings and irritability.

In a heartfelt conversation with Naga Munchetty on 5 Live earlier in 2024, Vicky expressed her relief: “I felt liberation because I’m not insane. I’m not mental, I’m not all those things I was convincing myself I was because I couldn’t deal with periods like everybody else.”
