There will be improvements to Gloucester Services 8 and 13 from Monday, January 6. Following the recent completion of redevelopment works at Gloucester Rail Station, Stagecoach West has announced minor improvements to bus services 8 and 13, aimed at enhancing travel connections for our customers.
From Monday 6th January 2025, journeys on services 8 and 13 towards Brockworth and Coney Hill will now run via Bruton Way, Gloucester Rail Station forecourt, and Metz Way. Buses traveling towards Gloucester City Centre and Hunts Grove will continue to follow the current route via ASDA.
Nicholas Reid, Great Western Railway’s Transport Integration Manager, said: “Following the enhancement of the car park at Gloucester, we are delighted to be working with Stagecoach West to welcome their services to the station forecourt. Gloucester is an important hub, and providing closer connections for interchanging between bus and rail enhances onward integration at the station, allowing more choice for passengers.”
Chris Hanson, Managing Director of Stagecoach West, said: “We welcome any investment which improves transport connections across our network and look forward to welcoming new and existing customers on the updated services in Gloucestershire.”
