Millions of households are set to receive a financial boost when benefit rates rise in 2025. Benefits are adjusted each April based on the previous September’s inflation figures.
In 2024, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) inflation rate showed a 1.7 per cent increase. This means that most benefits administered by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) will see a 1.7 per cent rise.
It will provide eligible claimants with hundreds of pounds in extra support. State Pension and Pension Credit will increase by an even larger 4.1 per cent in line with the Triple Lock pledge.
