Squiggle, Ragnor and other adorable furry friends are looking for ‘loving’ new homes in 2025. While a dog (or cat) is definitely not just for Christmas, the New Year may have got people thinking about whether they have space for a new family member in their lives.
All currently housed at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, these adorable animals are hoping to find their forever home this year. The charity has helped rehome more than 3.1 million cats and dogs since it was founded in Holloway in 1860.
However, there are still numerous animals at the centre who are in need of a loving forever home. Sweet ‘older gentleman’ Squiggle is a ten-year-old Staffie looking for owners who can offer him a calming retirement home for his ‘golden years’. He may be an older dog, but he still has the heart of a ‘young pup’ and enjoys regular walks with familiar doggie friends. Squiggle needs someone who is familiar with the breed, can offer training and a house where he is the only dog.
Beautiful Fern is a two-year-old Brittany Spaniel looking for a home that can ‘really help her shine’. She needs a family who can keep up with her energy levels and help build up trust so she can come out of her shell. Fern needs to live in an adult-only house with access to calming walks.
Ragnor is a ‘handsome’ nine-month-old Husky who ‘steals everyone’s heart’. He is a bouncy ball of energy and needs a family who can teach him manners and get him socialised with other people and dogs. Ragnor could live in a home with older teens and is comfortable around large breeds.
Playful Nimbus is an eight-year-old domestic short hair who has a passion for toy wands. She’ll need a family who can give her lots of attention, access to the outdoors and to be the only pet in the house.
And finally, three-year-old Diego is another domestic short-hair who loves a snuggle and playing with his mice toys. He’ll need owners who can show him a fun home environment with access to a private garden. Anyone who would like to adopt one of these pets can visit the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home website.
