Britain’s Got Talent judge and radio star, Amanda Holden, has reportedly been gifted a stunning new £200,000 engagement ring by her husband, Chris Hughes. The couple, who have been married since 2008 and share two daughters – Alexa and Hollie, began their romance in 2004 and tied the knot in a glamorous ceremony at Babington House, Somerset, in 2008.
They now live in a breathtaking £7 million Surrey mansion with their adorable dogs Minnie and Rudie, as well as their daughters. However, Heart Breakfast star Amanda recently revealed her husband’s playful prediction that if they were ever to part ways, she’d be remarried “within the year”.
It’s reported that Chris originally presented her with an engagement ring worth around £40,000, but Amanda was allegedly given an upgraded ring for Christmas. Diamond expert Zack Stone, from Steven Stone Jewellers, estimated her new ring to be worth around £200,000.

Speaking to Mail On Sunday, he said: “The oval ring with yellow gold band and platinum head with hidden halo looks to be six to seven carats in size and the cost likely to be £200,000,” He also mentioned that her previous ring, described as ‘a two-and-a-half carat emerald cut ring’, was valued at around £40,000. The Mirror has contacted her representatives for comment.
Discussing the new dating show ‘My Mum, Your Dad’ with Davina McCall, Amanda expressed disbelief at her husband’s cheeky suggestion that she’d quickly remarry if they parted ways, saying: “Oh my gosh; I can’t imagine. I mean, this is going to make me sound shallow, but my husband always says I’ll probably be married within the year if he left me.”, reports the Mirror.
She often sprinkles personal anecdotes into the conversation, including her irritation when her husband described her as a tough person to buy gifts for. While chatting about the challenges of choosing presents for someone like Taylor Swift, Amanda recalled telling off her husband: “Oh, I know and there’s my husband saying, ‘You’re so difficult to buy for’. It’s like an insult. He told me I was having a go at him last night because I kept saying, ‘Why do you keep saying I’m difficult to buy for? It’s like an insult’.”
Despite his claims, she defended herself, insisting on being easy to please, with colleague Ashley Roberts supporting her stance: “No; actually, I feel like you’re quite fun to buy for.”
Yet radio presenter JK appeared to side with Amanda’s husband, suggesting some Secret Santa participants might face the same conundrum.
