Ant and Dec’s Limitless Win game show came under fire on Saturday night as viewers insisted the wrong answer had unfairly robbed a couple of £250,000. The Geordie hosts were back with another episode of the thrilling ITV game show on Saturday night (January 11) which sees contestants compete for a limitless prize pot, where contestants could win “millions upon millions of pounds”.
The show sees two contestants to work together by answering questions that only have numbers as the answer. They must use a dial to register their guess, attempting to get as close to the correct answer as possible without going over.
But viewers took to X to complain as they insisted the show had wrongly taken a quarter of a million pounds off husband and wife team Richard and Lorna. They had been asked: “In metres, how long is the electrical cable on a standard Henry vacuum cleaner?”
To bank a quarter of a million pounds they needed an exact answer, and locked in 8m on the dial. Ant and Dec revealed the exact answer was 10m – much to the annoyance of viewers who quickly turned to Google to suggest the hosts were wrong.

One viewer wrote on X: “Interesting. Google has the henry cable at 8.4m. Interesting for £250k #limitlesswin.”
A second urged: “Pay up @ITV #limitlesswin. Clearly they were right!” while a third added: “#limitlesswin My Henry’s cord is 8 metres.”
Other stook screenshots from Google to ‘prove’ there had been a mistake.
But another fan sided with the show, also sharing a screenshot from Google to show the answer was actually 10m. The confusion seems to have appeared over what the ‘standard’ version of the famous vacuum cleaner is.
