Claudia Winkleman, known for her role on The Traitors, has divulged a ‘magic’ tip to aid those struggling to drift off to sleep. The 52 year old presenter recommends envisioning oneself in an attic with a dozen open windows and then closing each one in the mind’s eye, which should lead to slumber.
On Gabby Logan’s The Mid Point podcast, Claudia explained: “My final piece of sleep advice for anybody who’s listening is, so you’re lying in bed, you can’t fall asleep.
“You’ve got to imagine you’re in an attic. There are about 12 windows open in there. Some VELUX, some regular windows. You just need to go around and close them all. By the time you’ve done it, you’ll be asleep. It’s magic.”
In addition to her presenting duties on Strictly Come Dancing, Claudia shared that BBC chiefs have given her a firm directive to never intervene in the gameplay during the filming of the popular reality series. As the third season premiered last night (Wednesday, January 1), Claudia continues to win over fans with her sharp humour and commanding presence during the show’s challenges, as well as her potent silence at the round tables.

Sarah Fay, the executive producer of the show, revealed that Claudia has been explicitly instructed not to disrupt the contestants’ gameplay while on camera, reports Surrey Live.
In her interview with The Times, she shared her insights: “That’s something which Claudia’s heavily briefed on, to the point where she’s probably scared to look at any of them. We never want to be part of the story and ultimately there’s a lot of money at stake. We like to set up the game, set up the boundaries and let them go.”

She further enthused about the show’s impact, mentioning, “You feel like you’re watching real people going through real emotions. Those round tables are so amazing to watch. Often you have people who have finished their shift, should be going home and they’re like, ‘Oh, I just want to stay and watch the round table.’ You can hear a pin drop.”
It was revealed that the second series was clinched by traitor Harry Clark, while the inaugural series crowning moments were claimed by faithfuls Aaron Evans, Meryl Williams and Hannah Byczkowski. The latest episode of The Traitors is scheduled to air tonight (Thursday, January 2) at 8pm on BBC One.
