BBC The Traitors star has fans rolling their eyes as bitter row ends in tears

Tensions flared in the latest instalment of The Traitors during a new challenge on Friday, which saw contestants covering each other in some rather unpleasant goo while masked, leaving them unaware of their assailants.

As emotions ran high following the reveal of the goo-slinging culprits, Minah felt deceived by her comrade Dan after he initially denied targeting her, only to later find out that he and Leanne had conspired against her. This twist led her to believe that Dan had ‘betrayed’ her trust.

The show’s audience was quick to hop onto social media platforms to air their views on the proceedings, with many calling out the irony of Minah feeling aggrieved given her covert role as a Traitor and her nightly betrayals of Dan, reports the Mirror.

One wrote: “Minah? Girl you’re a whole traitor, you can’t be upset at Dan for not being truthful with you.” Another penned: “You’ve not been entirely honest with Dan though, Minah.”

A third commented: “Minah is a traitor yet she’s moaning about trust.” While another viewer wryly observed: “Minah actually getting upset with Leanne and Dan for marking her when you are the biggest liar in there, come on luv.” (sic)

Additionally, one fan pointed out the apparent hypocrisy, saying: “Not Minah trying to take the moral high ground when she’s snaking every single person in there!”

Minah didn’t have much time to dwell on her feelings towards Dan, as he was swiftly ousted from the round table in Friday night’s episode. Another Faithful bites the dust, leaving Minah and Linda looking rather successful as Traitors, with the Faithfuls none the wiser, continually suspecting and banishing one of their own.

Despite Jake’s suspicions about Linda being a Traitor, Minah has managed to navigate the game with skill, remaining undetected by the Faithfuls. While viewers weren’t exactly thrilled with her attitude towards Dan, they couldn’t help but acknowledge her prowess in the game.

Fans took to social media to express their views, with comments like “Minah is a fire Traitor,” and “Minah is audacious, omg.”

Others pointed out her influence in the game, saying: “Minah is just carrying Linda through this whole thing.” While another fan praised her strategy, adding: “Minah is an absolute master at this game… so far.”

Before joining the show, Minah, a call centre manager from Liverpool, had been tipped by friends as a perfect fit for the series. She shared: “After season two, people kept saying to me that I’d be so good on that show.” Her penchant for mischief, enjoying pranks and telling harmless fibs, she believed, made her a strong contender.

She also felt a kinship with Harry, the victorious Traitor from the second series, seeing similarities in their personalities.

“In this game I will cheer everyone on in the Missions to get them done and to get the money. Secretly you’re thinking, I need this lot to work hard to earn my money that I’m going to take at the end,” she said.

The Traitors returns next Thursday on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
