BBC The Traitors star shares secret about breakfast room and predicts ‘breakdowns’

The Traitors made a thrilling comeback on our screens for its anticipated third series, bringing with it 25 new hopefuls navigating the twists of the enchanting Scottish castle. They’re all vying for the coveted cash prize, playing as either ‘faithful’ or ‘traitor’, taking on a medley of challenges that promise to entertain us for weeks.

The first episode saw Linda, Minah, and Armani donning the ominous dark cloaks of the traitors, swiftly selecting their inaugural target. The morning after witnessed contestants collectively anticipating one another’s presence, which culminated in the revelation that Yin had been the first casualty.

Morning ‘murders’ in The Traitors are unveiled at breakfast, a time synonymous with a lavish display of croissants, juices, fruits, and coffee. However, Brian Davidson, a familiar face from the show’s second series, has decided to lift the lid on some behind-the-scenes realities.

Brian told OK!: “Watching the show on TV gives the show a whole other dimension to it. Knowing the smells of the castle and how warm the library is and how bloody smoky the breakfast room gets.”

Brian also gave his candid thoughts on the new episode: “It is super weird watching the new episode. It’s funny seeing everyone talking a big game but in actual fact there’ll be some breakdowns at that table.

“I also called Yin being murdered first as soon as I heard her talk! She was just too smart!”

He shared his excitement for the third series and dispensed more predictions, adding: “My favourite moment from tonight, I have to mention the train moment at the start. Talk about getting thrown in at the deep end!

“My predictions – I think Linda will be out next episode, which is huge and I don’t think a traitor has ever been banished in the first table! I also don’t think that’s the last of the 3 people that got off the train! “.

After being ousted unexpectedly early, 34 year old Yin opened up about why she felt targeted, explaining: “I think it was unfortunate that the people I was closest to in those first few hours happened to be chosen as traitors. Had other people been chosen, I honestly think I’d have been absolutely fine.”

Armani admitted why she had voted for Yin during the traitors’ conniving discussions, saying she deemed Yin “was very intellectual,” and might become “a threat later on”. Despite everything, Yin revealed her feelings about the early exit, confessing she is “still half in denial” after her premature departure from the series filmed earlier this year.
