The third season of The Travelling Auctioneers is set to arrive, and it’s bringing some fresh faces to the daytime show. The programme will once again feature its little blue van travelling across the country, as the team helps families restore their hidden treasures in the hopes of selling them for a profit.
Christina Trevanion, the show’s original star, will return as the narrator, alongside JJ Chambers, Robin Johnson, and Izzie Balmer. This time around, they will be joined by four new cast members.
Let’s get to know them. James “JB” Broad has been passionate about antiques since he was 12 years old.
He currently works as the manager and auctioneer at Whittaker and Biggs in Cheshire, where he typically sells over 1,400 lots per auction. The 29 year old has previously appeared on Antiques Roadshow and The Bidding Room, and he found it an “easy decision” to join The Travelling Auctioneers.

He said: “The chance to travel and meet incredible people while uncovering the stories behind their cherished possessions is something truly magical. I’m particularly looking forward to the excitement of the auctions themselves – there’s nothing quite like the anticipation of finding out which items resonate most with buyers.”, reports the Mirror.
Lauren Wood, a skilled woodworker, won the second series of Channel 4’s Handmade: Britain’s Best Woodworker in 2022, after her wife encouraged her to apply. Lauren, who grew up observing her father’s DIY projects, pursued a degree in cabinet-making and taught woodwork at a secondary school for a decade.
She expressed her enthusiasm for restoration, saying: “For me, being hands on and restoring things is a life skill that not only brings joy to myself and others but also means we as a nation can reuse products and save them from landfill, so I’m thrilled to be putting my passion into practice alongside this top team! “.
Briony ‘Bee’ Harford has been hailed as a “rising star in the auctioneering world “, boasting over 12 years of experience. From starting as a general valuer, she climbed her way up to become head auctioneer.
Bee was even headhunted by fine art auctioneers Bonhams to lead its operations in Yorkshire and the North East. In 2021, she made history by becoming the first woman in 40 years to take the rostrum at the Staffordshire Motorcycle Show.
“I love my job for many reasons, but the main one is helping people make a difference to their lives,” Bee shared. “I get no greater joy than unearthing treasures in people’s homes that they had no idea were worth anything, then selling them on the rostrum! “.
Saf Fakir, a restorer, operates his own woodwork studio in Bradford where he crafts bespoke furniture. Fans of Quest’s The Woodland Workship may recognise Saf as the show’s resident expert.
The Travelling Auctioneer’s newest team member, who has inherited his father’s craftsmanship skills, expressed his enthusiasm about joining the show. Saf remarked: “I’m so humbled to join The Travelling Auctioneers. It’s a great opportunity for me to show how household items that most people would throw away can be totally transformed and given a new home.”
