Are you fed up with the struggle of changing your bed linen, particularly getting the duvet to sit perfectly in all four corners? Lifestyle guru Chloe Stevens claims she has found a quick and efficient solution to this common household chore.
“I find this method so much easier,” she shared with her TikTok followers. “It gets the duvet right in the corners and you don’t have to do that whole shaking thing, desperately trying to get it where it should be.”
In her instructional video, Chloe reveals that the trick starts with having your duvet cover inside out, with the zip or buttons at the bottom. “If there’s a pattern on the top of the cover, ensure it is face down on the under sheet”, she additionally advises.

“Next, lay your duvet completely on top of the cover, corner to corner,” she instructs. “Then, at the top of the bed, take the corner of both the duvet and the cover and roll them as tightly as you can until you get to the bottom – the other side will just come with it.”
Once your “burrito shape” roll reaches the end, Chloe suggests taking the bottom of the duvet cover, reaching in and pulling it inside, before tucking it around the duvet at both bottom corners.
“This enables you to grab the centre of the duvet and tuck it in and then you can literally just roll the entire thing back up and because the whole thing has been rolled up together, you will find all four corners are perfectly aligned,” Chloe concluded.
She elaborated: “Now just straighten it out and close it up at the bottom. I personally love this method – I find it loads simpler. Since I’m quite petite, dealing with a king size duvet when trying to shake it into the cover can be especially challenging. It’s far more straightforward laying it all out flat.”
One TikTok spectator offered Chloe an alternative technique: “This looks so complicated – try putting cover inside out then holding each corner while holding each corner of duvet also and then flip the cover over it and shake until it covers the whole duvet.”
Reacting to this suggestion, Chloe clarified her preference: “I struggle with the shaking part, so does my mum who has mobility issues so that’s why we found this method to be easier.”
Curious for a better visual aid, another followed up with: “Going to give it a go. Maybe you could re-do the demo with a different colour duvet cover to the white duvet.” A third viewer complimented her: “This is the best I’ve seen this explained, thank you. Going to give it a try with your video as a step by step guide.”
Whilst a fourth shared: “I have always put it on inside out, but your way I think might work better.” Concurring that the contrasting colours might aid understanding, meanwhile, Chloe responded: “I think it would’ve been even clearer if I used a coloured duvet cover against the white duvet so I’m going to refilm a new version soon.”
Chloe affirmed the potential benefits, concluding: “I find it feels a bit less strenuous and is easier to make sure it’s lined up perfectly with all the corners in, hope it goes well for you if you try it.”
