Kent Police says officers have arrested four men, aged between 19 and 28, after the two victims were taken to hospital in the alleged assault on Thursday (January 2) at 9pm.
There were reports of some men trying to force their way into a property in Balmoral Road, Gillingham.
The two occupants were then taken to hospital with non-life-threatening-injuries after they said they were attacked.
Two of the suspects were later chased by Metropolitan Police officers in Brightfield Road, Lee, at around 9.20pm, but they then fled their car and climbed onto a roof in Hedgley Street.
Emergency services then swarmed the area as officers and firefighters negotiated with the men to come down safely for their arrests.
