Bromley Churchill Theatre: Big shows coming in 2025

If you’re already itching to fill up your calendar with things you’ll be doing this year, why not add a few theatre shows into the mix?

Bromley’s Churchill Theatre will be playing host to a mix of shows this year, from some big West End hits like Fawlty Towers, which is set to go on tour next year, to new productions like Calamity Jane.

We’ve rounded up five of the best shows we think you shouldn’t miss this year at Bromley’s Churchill Theatre and everything you need to know.

Ghost The Musical

When? January 22-25

Following a successful stint on the West End in 2011-2012, this adaptation of the Oscar-winning love story is set to play at Bromley this January.

Starring Rebekah Lowings as Molly, the musical tells the story of a couple separated by death, after Molly’s boyfriend Sam is murdered and his ghost enlists the help of a phoney psychic to tell her the truth.

The show features music co-written by Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard, and with returning favourites like The Righteous Brothers’ ‘Unchained Melody’.

Bat Out of Hell

When? January 27 – February 1

How much? Tickets start from £24

This popular musical is making a return to the stage and tells the story of couple Stray (played by Rob Fowler) and Raven (played by Katie Tonkinson) in a post-apocalyptic New York.

The returning hit contains music from Jim Steinman and Meat Loaf performed by an eight-piece live band, with multi-level platforms to create an immersive theatrical experience of this strange world.

The Girl on the Train

When? March 18-22

How much? Tickets start from £22

Adapted from Paula Hawkins’ best-selling novel, The Girl on a Train tells the story of Rachel Watson (played by Giovanni Fletcher), who one day on her daily train ride witnesses the disappearance of a woman, making her both a witness and a suspect to her disappearance.

Returning to Bromley, this theatrical production will leave audience members guessing until the end.

Calamity Jane

When? September 16-20

How much? Tickets start from £27

This new musical adaptation of the beloved 1953 film tells the story of the fearless Calamity Jane (played by Carrie Hope Fletcher) as she tries to win the heart of Lieutenant Gilmartin (casting to be announced).

Featuring classic songs like The Deadwood Stage and The Black Hills, this new production directed by Nikolai Foster will surely take you on a trip down memory lane.

Fawlty Towers

When? September 30 – October 4

How much? Tickets start from £32

This brand-new adaptation of the popular British sitcom Fawlty Towers is set to begin its UK tour this year, following a successful stint on the West End.

Adapted by John Cleese himself and directed by Caroline Jay Range, the show is a comedic medley of some of the show’s most iconic moments, in a hilarious two hour production.
