Cadbury and Birmingham – nostalgic pictures of our chocolate past

Cadbury, with its 200-year history, has produced numerous iconic chocolate bars and biscuits, some of which are no longer available. Having stuffed ourselves with chocolate this Christmas, we were feeling chocho-nostalgic.

In honour of its bicentennial this year, Cadbury, our cherished Birmingham brand, is stirring up nostalgia by reintroducing several retro packaging designs for its Dairy Milk bars.

The company was established in Birmingham in 1824 by John Cadbury, who sold tea, coffee, and drinking chocolate. Two hundred years later, the company has launched countless chocolate bars and sweets that have become beloved staples for generations of chocolate enthusiasts.

While many classics like Dairy Milk, Crunchie, Roses, and Bournville continue to be enjoyed today, some of our favourites have been discontinued.

We’re taking a trip down memory lane to reminisce about some of the many treats we can no longer purchase from the corner shop or supermarkets.
