A man was rushed to hospital following a multi-vehicle collision in Bath city centre that saw a car crash into a Sports Direct store. The incident occurred around 2.01pm today (Friday, January 17) at Westgate Buildings when a car collided with a bus, two parked vehicles and the sports retailer.
Images from the scene reveal significant damage to the Sports Direct building and two cars, one of which was removed on a truck due to a dented bumper. Avon and Somerset Police, along with South Western Ambulance Service, responded to the incident.
Although a man was taken to hospital, a spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police confirmed that no serious injuries were reported at the scene.
The police spokesperson stated: “We were called at 2.01pm to reports a car had collided with a bus, two parked vehicles and a building in Westgate Buildings in Bath.”
They added: “Officers attended alongside the ambulance service.
