CCTV appeal after Birmingham burglars disturbed during break-in

A CCTV appeal has been launched to find two men wanted in connection with a Birmingham burglary attempt. Two men tried to break into a property in Holte Road in Aston, close to Aston Villa’s Villa Park ground, a week before Christmas on Wednesday, December 18.

The men tried to break-in at around 3.30pm but were ‘interrupted’ and swiftly left the area. Now West Midlands Police has issued CCTV images of two men officers would like to speak to.

One man is white, with a beard and wearing a beanie hat, a black jacket and trousers and white trainers. The second man is also white with a beard, and has a white and black cap with a beige peak.

He too is wearing a black jacket, this one with a hood and white writing on the front. And he has black trousers and white trainers.

Burglars were disturbed while trying to break into a home in Holte Road in Aston, close to Aston Villa’s Villa Park ground, and police would like to speak to these two men in connection with the incident

In issuing the CCTV appeal a spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “We want to speak to this pair following an attempted burglary in Aston. Intruders tried to access a property in Holte Road at around 3.30pm on 18 December.

“They were interrupted and fled. Anyone with information can contact us via Live Chat, or by calling 101, and quote 20/1004018/24.” Alternatively, anyone with any information can contact independent charity, Crimestoppers, anonymously by calling 0800 555 111.
