Claudia Winkleman has revealed that she’s smitten with the new “love” in her life – and it isn’t her film producer husband.
In an episode of the Where There’s A Will, There’s A Wake podcast, The Traitors host opened up to Kathy Burke about how she has recently welcomed a new addition to her family whom she’s “in love with”.
The Strictly Come Dancing presenter revealed that she’s so attached to the new family member that she’s been known to sing them a “lullaby’. But it would appear that her husband, Kris Thykier, thinks it’s all a bit “much”.
She said: “So, I’ve recently got a dog, who I am in love with. I mean, I’m gonna bore you till your ears bleed. The two [children] have left home; I didn’t know what to do. I thought I might steal a baby, so instead, I got a dog who I treat like…I mean, I don’t put him in clothes but I didn’t know.

“I’ve never had a dog before or any form of animal, but this little dog, who I open his mouth and insert my tongue. I do.”
Claudia went on to compare herself to the “old, orange lady” in the 1998 comedy film, There’s Something About Mary, likely referring to a character that allows her pet dog to lick her face.
She added: “Anyway, so I love Skip, love of my life. I look for toys for him; I stroke his ears. Sometimes, I’ve been known to sing him a lullaby. My husband was like, ‘This is too much’.”

Earlier this month, Claudia appeared in a heartwarming TikTok video with Kris and their three children, Jake, Matilda, and Arthur. In it, she was spotted celebrating their dog’s pretend acceptance into Harvard.
The legendary presenter could be seen holding onto the dog’s paws while she looked at a laptop, with the family pretending to be nervously waiting to receive news before breaking out into celebration.
In the caption accompanying the video, Claudia’s daughter, Matilda penned: “Pretending our dog got into harvard cuz why not'”.(sic)
