Gakpo’s girlfriend celebrated an eventful year ahead of Liverpool’s next game

Cody Gakpo was flooded with support as he was spotted on a trip away from Merseyside. The Liverpool FC forward has been exceptional for the Reds this season, scoring 11 goals and four assists in 27 games this season.
Gakpo scored again in Liverpool’s last game, a 5-0 win away at West Ham. The Dutch attacker is likely to feature again in Sunday’s match against Manchester United as Arne Slot’s side look to maintain their lead at the top of the Premier League table.
Away from the pitch, Cody’s girlfriend is Noa van der Bij. She gave birth to their son, named Samuël Seth Gakpo, earlier this year. Noa works for a modelling agency and regularly shares updates on her personal life to her 44,000 Instagram followers.
Traditionally, New Year’s Day was a big day in the football calendar with multiple fixtures. However, changes to the schedule meant there was only one Premier League game on Wednesday, with Brentford losing 3-1 to Liverpool’s title rivals Arsenal.
This meant many of Liverpool’s players were able to enjoy a quick break before the Manchester United game. Gakpo was one of these as he left Merseyside for a countryside trip.
In an Instagram post published yesterday, Noa posted several pictures of herself with baby Samuël and Gakpo. The footballer opted for a smart grey suit as the three of them had their tea in a countryside hotel.

Noa captioned the post: “Ending the year with a cosy trip”. The post received over 5,000 likes and many sent their support to the family in the comments. Gakpo himself left three heart emojis. Meanwhile, Saffie Khan, girlfriend of Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones, said: “So cute.”
In another post this week, Noa posted a video showing highlights of her 2024. This included clips of her showing her positive pregnancy test to the camera with Gakpo, taking Samuël to Anfield and footage of Gakpo playing from the stands.
In the caption Noa added: “So thankful for this special year.” In the comments, one fan said: Happy New Year. God bless you guys! The best is yet to come.” Another said: “You guys are literally the cutest.” A third added: “Thankful you’re a red. Here’s to many more memories.”
