Coleen Nolan embraces ‘life-changing’ new diet that means she no longer has to take painkillers

Coleen Nolan, a familiar face on Loose Women, has shared how making a simple change to what she eats has had a dramatic impact on her health.

Opening up to Closer UK, Coleen revealed the simple dietary switch that had a ‘life changing’ effect on her wellbeing. At 59, she divulged the remarkable benefits of her new diet, saying: “I’m 100% vegetarian and probably 80% vegan, and health-wise it’s changed my life.”

She explained the significant impact this change has made: “I was living on painkillers for joint pain, but after being veggie for two weeks, I never had to take another painkiller.”

But Coleen’s ‘life changing’ health journey doesn’t stop with her diet; she also maintains a strict exercise regime that includes caring for animals, which aids in her fitness and weight loss.

She added: “It’s three hours of mucking out horses, then dog walking, then sorting out the goats, ducks and chickens. I’m getting exercise and starting to lose weight doing something I love.”

Additionally, Coleen opened up about her close relationships with her co-stars, particularly highlighting Ruth Langsford as a lifelong friend: “We’re good friends, as well as colleagues. Ruth (Langsford) and I will be friends forever outside of work and the same goes for Brenda (Edwards), Janet (Street-Porter) and Christine Lampard).”

Coleen Nolan opened her heart to Bella Magazine earlier this year about the close-knit bond she shares with her fellow presenters, revealing how the team rallied to support Ruth Langsford amidst her separation from Eamonn Holmes.

She said: “But we’ve got a WhatsApp group for all of us and when someone needs support, that group just lights up. We’re saying: ‘Here if you need me, or, Phone me.'” Marking 25 years since Loose Women first graced our screens, Coleen has become a staple on the panel, joining in its second year, reports Surrey Live.

Prior to her television gigs, Coleen claimed fame with her sisters in their family band, best known for chart-toppers like “I’m in the Mood for Dancing”, “Gotta Pull Myself Together” and “Who’s Gonna Rock You”.
