Coleen Nolan’s son Jake Roche has shared an emotional tribute to his aunt Linda Nolan following her sad death. The Nolans star died aged 65 on Wednesday, January 15.
She had been battling secondary breast cancer, which had spead to her brain. But her sister Maureen revealed it was not cancer which had claimed her life.
Maureen revealed she had actually contracted double pneumonia just before Christmas and could not fight it off due to her weakened immune system. Sharing a photo of Blackpool Tower being lit up in pink to honour Linda’s memory, her newphew Jake wrote: “I will miss my aunty Linda greatly. She was THAT Auntie.

“The one that let you stay up late, would occasionally let you swear, and would sit and go through the whole Mickey monologue from Blood Brothers with me until I had it down. She had a remarkable life and I take comfort in the fact she lived it authentically. Thank you for all your kind words.”
Although born in Dublin, Linda became synonymous with Blackpool, where she rose to fame with her siblings as part of The Nolans in 1974. She spent her last days in the town after moving in with with her sister Denise and brother-in-law Tom.
Loose Women star Coleen expressed her deep grief in a tribute to Linda, saying: “I am utterly devastated by the passing of my sister, Linda. Linda was a beacon of love, kindness, and strength. Her wit, humour and laughter was infectious, her presence could light up any room.
“Linda had a heart full of compassion and always knew how to bring comfort and joy to those around her. Her memory will live on in the many lives she touched, and while we will miss her more than words can express, we take solace in the love and warmth she shared with all of us. Rest in peace, Linda. You will forever be in our hearts.”
