CONOR McGregor has been accused of sexual assault in a civil lawsuit over an alleged incident in 2023.
The lawsuit was filed on Tuesday and accuses the UFC fighter of sexually assaulting a woman in the bathroom of the Kasaya Center after.
The alleged attack took place after Miami Heat’s NBA Finals game against the Denver Nuggets on June 9, 2023.
It comes after the woman, who has been described as a 49-year-old who works on Wall Street, filed a criminal sexual assault allegation.
A report was made to City of Miami Police, but criminal charges were dropped, according to the Florida State Attorney’s Office.
Barbara Llanes, McGregor’s attorney, released a statement to ESPN after the civil lawsuit was filed.
It read: “After a thorough investigation at the time, the State’s Attorney concluded that there was no case to pursue.
“Almost two years and at least three lawyers later the plaintiff has a new false story. We are confident that this case too will be dismissed.”
McGregor has denied the allegations.
