Corrie icon Georgia Taylor has parted ways with fellow actor and ex-screen hubby Charlie de Melo, it has been reported. The 44 year old actress, famed for playing Toyah Battersby for nearly three decades on the popular ITV soap, had begun a romance with the 35 year old actor, known for his role as Imran Habeeb, towards the end of 2022.
However, it’s been disclosed that the couple have amicably split several months ago. A pal told The Sun: “Georgia and Charlie are no longer a couple, but they remain friends who care about each other deeply.”
They also hinted at the reason behind their split. The friend added: “They have lots of happy memories together, but are both really focused on work at the moment and looking forward to the future, there are no hard feelings.”

Georgia previously gushed over Charlie, saying: “I absolutely adore him. He’s been a dream.”
“He’s so funny so we laugh a lot but he is honestly one of the most supportive people I have ever worked with. Even now, we’re still in touch obviously. He’s texting me, ‘How did the day go? Are you OK?
“He’s just a team player. And, I mean, look at him, there’s no complaints there either. He’s beautiful.”
Georgia, who broke up with Casualty and The Bill actor Mark Letheren after a 14-year romance, began dating Charlie a few months after their split in July 2022.
Charlie’s Coronation Street character met a tragic end last June following a heart attack, leaving viewers distraught. Charlie was previously cast in Disney’s Rivals and BBC’s Doctor Who.
