According to the bookmakers’ latest odds, Coronation Street could see the exit of more than one of its beloved stars in 2025.
Charlotte Jordan, who plays barmaid Daisy Midgeley, has become the latest actress to confirm her departure from the soap.
This follows shock announcements from Sue Cleaver, who has been part of the cobbles furniture since 2000 as Eileen Grimshaw, and Colson Smith, who played Officer Craig Tinker for 14 years.
This has led to speculation about who might be next and which characters might return to the cobbles.
It’s already known that Lucy Fallon, who plays Bethany Platt, is going on maternity leave later this year to have her second child – but could this result in Bethany’s permanent exit from Weatherfield?
On behalf of Gambling.com, entertainment expert James Leyfield has predicted who could be leaving Coronation Street – and Bethany has odds of 4/5 of being the next character to announce a permanent exit from the cobbles.

In June, Sally Ann also caused concern among fans by suggesting she might be absent from the show for some time, telling them not to expect to see Jenny on their screens “for a while”.
