There’s been a host of departure announcements from Coronation Street over recent weeks, with many fan favourites getting set to leave the ITV soap.
The likes of Sue Cleaver, Colsdon Smith, Charlotte Jordan and Paddy Bever have all revealed they’re exiting the cobbles.
The announcements have sparked speculation about which character could be next to leave, with bookmakers revealing one Coronation Street resident is the favourite to exit.
Following a storyline which saw her poison Corrie legend Ken Barlow (Bill Roache), it looks like Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) could be set to wave goodbye to Weatherfield sooner rather than later.

Actress Claire is the 8/13 favourite to be the next character to leave the ITV soap, despite having only made her debut as Cassie around two years ago. She has stirred up trouble during her time on the soap, especially with son Tyrone and mum Evelyn.
However, other soap stars are tipped to depart before Claire. Actress Lucy Fallon, who plays Bethany Platt, is due to head on maternity leave later this year, but she is 4/5 to make a permanent exit from the soap.
Jenny Connor actress Sally Ann Matthews is 6/4 to be the next to leave, while Sair Khan, who plays Alya Nazir, is 2/1 to go, despite having only returned to Corrie in November from maternity leave.

There’s also concern over Michael Le Vell’s future on Corrie, as it’s been revealed that his character Kevin Webster is set to battle testicular cancer in a sad storyline.
However, there’s also the possibility of some fan favourites making a return to Coronation Street amongst all of the exits. There’s talk of Jimi Mistry making a return as well as Zeedan Nazir, as part of Yasmeen’s upcoming exit storyline.
Elsewhere, Helen Flanagn is the 4/7 favourite to make her long-awaited return as Rosie Webster in 2025, with fellow actress Brooke Vincent, who played Sophie Webster, to follow her, with odds sitting at 5/6.
Coronation Street is on ITV at 8pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday and available to stream from 7am on ITVX
