Coronation Street ‘to bring back’ Tina McIntyre as fans ‘work out’ return from dead twist

Coronation Street fans are certain Tina McIntyre is making a shock return from the dead.

The beloved barmaid (Michelle Keegan) made her first appearance back in 2008 – and it didn’t take her long to become a hit with fans. Tina also played a part in several big storylines too during her stint on the cobbles.

From shock affairs to long-running feuds, her time in Weatherfield was not short of drama. However, in 2014, and after half-a-decade on the famous cobbles, Tina was killed off when she was pushed off a balcony.

Despite managing to survive the fall, her character was beaten with a metal pole by Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis) – which resulted in her death and Rob getting sent to prison.

However, now, fans are convinced that a ‘return from the dead’ twist is in store for Tina – and fans will be over the moon.

Over on the cobbles this week, Rob made his shock return, from Highfield Prison, when his son Bobby Crawford (Jack Carroll) visited him to convince him to donate a kidney to his sister Carla Connor (Alison King).

What’s more, the soap has brought back several dead characters recently, usually as part of a hallucination. At the end of 2024, serial killer Richard Hillman (Brian Capron) returned as part of Gail Platt’s (Helen Worth) exit storyline.

And recently, it was confirmed that Harry Visinoni headed back to the soap to reprise his role as Seb Franklin – who was killed off in 2021. His return will air next week.

Now, with Rob back on the soap and the slew of recent dead character ‘returns,’ fans think it’s only a matter of time before Tina comes back.

On a Corrie Facebook fan page, one person wrote: “Hear me out but what if Tina also comes back and returns from the dead? Richard returned for Gail, Seb is returning soon and so did Mason.”

Another agreed: “Also, it makes perfect timing with Rob back on the scene!” A third chimed in: “Carla could hallucinate her maybe?” While someone else penned: “Manifesting a Tina return!”

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX
