Corrie star Simon Gregson could be forced to sell his house if he does not pay back a £252,000 loan he took from his production firm.
Official papers show the actor, who plays Steve McDonald in the ITV soap, and wife Emma must repay Simon Gregson Productions a sum of £1,500 per month.
The paperwork states the pair, who have been married for 14 years and have three sons, are no longer together.
But Coronation Street sources last night insisted the couple are happily married.
The report said they had three years to pay back the debt. And if they failed to do so, it had been agreed that they would sell their family home.
It reads: “The Director had an overdrawn loan account of £252,824. The analysis also revealed that this money was removed from the Company’s bank account and paid into Mr Gregory’s joint bank account with his estranged wife. Therefore, any claim would be addressed to both individuals.”

Simon liquidated Simon Gregson Productions Ltd in 2023, owing £165,000 to HMRC and Coutts bank for a Covid bounceback loan.
It was revealed last year he was selling his office equip-ment in a bid to pay his debts.
He had offered the furniture plus £6,000 in cash to try and settle some of what he owes.
An initial report said: “Due to the age and condition of the equipment it is anticipated any realisations will be minimal.”
Simon has played Steve since 1989 and is reportedly on a £150,000 salary.
Emma runs Morley Tea Rooms in Wilmslow, Cheshire.
It comes as Bill Roache, Michael Le Vell and Sally Dynevor have signed year-long contracts to stay on the soap.
Their decisions steadies the Corrie ship after the shock axing of Colson Smith, who played Craig for 14 years, and the quitting of Charlotte Jordan, who plays Daisy Midgeley.
Helen Worth, 74, who was Gail Platt for 50 years, left on Christmas Day and Sue Cleaver (Eileen Grimshaw) is also off.
Others, such as Luca Toolan (Mason Radcliffe) and Sue Devaney (Debbie Webster) have been written out.
Bill, 92, is the world’s longest-serving TV soap actor having played Ken Barlow since 1960. He started on £70 a week and now reputedly earns £250,000 a year.
He has no plans on leaving. He said: “My aim is to be 100 and still working on Coronation Street. While they want me and while I can do it I’ll continue to do it.”
Michael, 60, joined Corrie in 1983 as mechanic Kevin Webster, who is about to discover he has testicular cancer which will put a massive strain on his relationship with Abi (Sally Carmen).
