Netflix viewers say Primark’s winter collection reminds them of ‘Emily in Paris’. Renowned for its daring take on Parisian fashion, the star-studded show centres around Lily Collins and her character’s flamboyant wardrobe. Now, fans can add some French flair to their outfits with a selection of bouclé designs, including a cosy £34 jacket. It’s one of several standout styles that fashion lover @mariajoynson highlighted during a recent visit to Westfield London.
In a popular TikTok video, Maria showcased her favourite finds from her shopping trip. She started off with a cream bouclé jacket with a collar and zip detail. “The first thing of interest that I saw was this jacket. This was right at the front as I went in. It was £34, and I thought it was quite Zara vibes,” Maria praised.
As her video continued, Maria also highlighted other products she liked. She said, “They did have a lot of good neutrals for January. I liked this fleece-lined hoodie (…) For once, there was stock of the viral jumper, but it was in blue. This is a nice colour, and it would suit other people.”
Maria also pointed out a blue bouclé co-ord and a matching bouclé blazer, reports the Mirror. “I do like the fact that they’ve started putting these little essentials around the place. This headband is very nice,” the video’s creator added.
She later showcased a ‘really nice’ £28 Padded Borg Jacket and a £26 collarless jacket that she found ‘very nice in person’. “The side section is filled to the brim with every workout item you could ever need,” observed Maria, before drawing attention to a knitted jumper emblazoned with ‘Paris’.
The Parisian theme caught the eye of viewers too, with one commenter reacting: “It’s giving Emily in Paris.” Maria answered: “Yeah it’s all quite Bonjour boucle,” though her skull emoji hinted at some reservations about the style.
