Dating show with a twist ‘set to air’ on BBC or Channel 4

TV bosses are set to answer the prayers of single vicars by creating a dating show exclusively for them. They aim to attract candidates sfrom faith backgrounds – leading to comparisons with classic BBC sitcom The Vicar of Dibley.

However, they will also be reaching out to counterparts from various faiths, including Muslim and Jewish communities as well as spiritual groups. A TV insider told The Sun: “This promises to be a real belter of a show because it’s made by Ricochet, the same production company who gave us The Repair Shop.

“In this case, they’ll be mending broken hearts, and see vicars and other religious leaders as intriguing people who deserve to find love just like the rest of us. Though there’ll obviously be some personal hoops to jump through, particularly those whose faiths prescribe certain behaviours when it comes to sex, love and marriage.”
