On December 16, 2024, a couple of months after it was initially scheduled to open in the Bullring, Pop Street opened to diners for the first time. The four-in-one restaurant launched in the space where Burger King closed in early 2023, serving katsu, burritos, Greek gyros and burgers from four distinct counters.
Since then, hundreds of people have tried and tested the food as they flooded into the Bullring in their droves for Christmas shopping and New Year sale bargain hunting. One hundred of them have now given their verdict on the new spot over on Google Reviews.
Overall, the new spot has been given a 4.7 star rating out of five. But there’s one thing about the new venue that has delighted diners, enough for them to rave about it in their dozens online.

Local guide Kath A explains in her write-up: “I had the pleasure of visiting Pop Street for the first time today, and I must say, it was an excellent experience! The food was great, but what really stood out was the incredible customer service.
“Leya, one of the staff members, went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. She was attentive, efficient, and so helpful – not just to me but to everyone around. It’s clear she takes pride in her work, and her dedication made the visit all the more enjoyable.
“Because of her exceptional service, I’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you, Leya, for making my first visit such a positive one!”
Saidah Malaika also raved about the staff. They wrote: “We had a great meal at Pop Street, my kids loved the food. Special Thanks to May, who has very helpful and professional with great customer service.”
Olivia Bristow agreed, writing: “The food was good and is at a reasonable price. The server Nini was so nice, attentive and helpful. Place was clean too. Definitely coming back again.”
Even those who marked the venue is less than five out of five gave their thoughts on the staff. “Food was decent, but the real star was the service,” wrote Sourav Upadhyay in a 3/5 star review. “Staff were polite and attentive. Special shoutout to Sushmitha for her exceptional care. Overall, a pleasant experience thanks to the superb service!”
Local guide Tausif A Baber gave the restaurant just one star, writing: “Tried their lamb gyro and it was made with cheapest possible fatty lamb with no taste at all. Staff are friendly but inexperienced. Seems like a new business without any expertise.”
The venue replied to the review, saying it ‘takes quality seriously’ and it would share Tausif’s comments with the team ‘to review both the ingredients and preparation process’.
