A driver and others in their car fled the scene of a Birmingham three-vehicle crash which left a woman requiring medical treatment. The ‘hit-and-run’ incident took place in Yardley Wood Road in Moseley at around 2.30pm on Friday (January 17).
Three cars crashed in the incident, near the junction with Windermere Road, which led to the road being closed between St Agnes Rd and Swanshurst Lane. National Express West Midlands had to divert its number 2 and 3 bus services for almost an hour.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the scene. Paramedics assessed one woman who was treated for injuries but said she did not want to go to hospital.

A spokeswoman for the ambulance service said: “We were called to reports of a multi-vehicle road traffic collision on Yardley Wood Road in Moseley at 2.36pm on Friday (January 17) and sent an ambulance to the scene.
“On arrival, crews discovered three cars had been involved in a collision and there was one patient, a woman, requiring assessment. She was treated for minor injuries but did not wish to go to hospital so was given self-care advice and discharged at the scene.”
West Midlands Police has confirmed the occupants of one of the cars fled the scene after the crash. A spokesman for the force said: “We were called following a collision involving three vehicles on Yardley Wood Road at just before 2.30pm on Friday (January 17).
“The occupants of one of the vehicles made off and we’re carrying out further enquiries. No-one was seriously injured. Anyone with information is asked to contact us via Live Chat on our website, or by calling 101, and quote log 2713 of 17/01/25.”
