Dunelm shoppers are staying cosy and warm indoors – despite the snow and ice outside. It’s all thanks to a ‘wonderfully soft’ blanket now discounted in the January sales.
The Fogarty Soft Touch Embossed Electric Blanket is available from £28. There are different sizes suitable for a double (£31.50) or king (£35) for those with bigger beds.
Costing an average of 2p per hour to run, this cosy blanket “provides added comfort and a soft touch” when you lay on top of it. People are encouraged to “snuggle up and stay warm” with the quilted-style blanket working away beneath them.

People will be looking for ways to keep themselves warm at night as, across the country, Brits face wintery conditions of snow, ice and negative temperatures. It couldn’t be a better time to invest right now as the blanket has been reduced by 30% in Dunelm’s sale, originally costing between £40 and £50.
Previous shoppers were quick to share their love for the Fogarty Soft Touch Embossed Electric Blanket, which has an impressive 4.6 out of five stars rating. Dozens were pleased to report that the bed was “much more inviting” when warmed up for a little while using this cheap-to-run gadget.

One said: “One of the best things I’ve bought! Getting into a warm bed on a cold night is so lovely. No one will regret buying one of these, pure bliss!”
Another added: “Wonderfully soft cover to this very efficient electric blanket! I have never owned one before, but having a warm bed makes such a difference, and it helps me sleep longer.”
A third shared: “A glimpse of luxury! A welcome company in bed on a chilly night.” Someone else wrote: “My first ever electric blanket. It’s cheaper and more efficient than leaving the heater on in very cold weather.”
The device comes with three heat settings – depending on your preference. It’s controlled with this slider.

But, not everyone enjoyed their purchase. One person said they returned the item to Dunelm after noticing one missing feature. They said: “I was disappointed with my blanket. Although it was king size, it didn’t have dual controls.”
A different shopper warned: “We have not been used to an electric blanket taking such a long time to warm up to a good temperature on the top rating.” They claimed it took “one to two hours” to feel the difference with their blanket.
There are plenty of electric blankets on offer elsewhere. For example, the TOPS Electric Single Heated Underblanket is available on Amazon for £25.99. A bigger size suitable for double beds is available for £32.99.
Elsewhere, Debenhams shoppers can secure the Neo Electric Heated Underblanket at a 70% discount during its huge January sale. The single-size version costs just £22, down from £52.99, while bigger versions for doubles and kings are also available.
