Dunelm customers aren’t complaining about feeling cold at night thanks to a ‘wonderfully soft’ electric blanket that’s part of the January sale. The Fogarty Soft Touch Embossed Electric Blanket starts at only £28, with larger sizes for double (£31.50) and king-sized (£35) beds available.
Cost-effective to use, it is said to cost roughly 2p per hour while providing “added comfort and a soft touch”. As temperatures plummet across the UK, people are encouraged to “snuggle up and stay warm” with this quilted-style blanket.
The 30% discount in Dunelm’s early 2025 sale, dropping its price from the original £40-£50 range, couldn’t be better timed. Snow and ice warnings have been put in place across parts of the country, with it getting particularly bitter at night.
This bed-warming gadget has garnered a near-flawless reputation, boasting a 4.6 out of 5-star rating. Customers were delighted with their purchase, with many finding their beds “much more inviting” after warming them up with this economical electric blanket, reports the Mirror.
A satisfied customer said: “One of the best things I’ve bought! Getting into a warm bed on a cold night is so lovely. No one will regret buying one of these, pure bliss!”

Another person added: “Wonderfully soft cover to this very efficient electric blanket! I have never owned one before, but having a warm bed makes such a difference, and it helps me sleep longer.”
Someone else branded the blanket as “a glimpse of luxury”. They went on to write that the blanket was “welcome company in bed on a chilly night.” A fourth review read: “My first ever electric blanket. It’s cheaper and more efficient than leaving the heater on in very cold weather.”
However, not all reviews were positive. One dissatisfied customer claimed: “I was disappointed with my blanket. Although it was king size, it didn’t have dual controls.”
The device comes with three heat settings – depending on your preference. It’s controlled with this slider.

A separate buyer warned future buyers, explaining that their electric blanket took “one to two hours” to warm up to a comfortable temperature on the highest setting. Despite mixed reviews, there are plenty of options on the market for those looking to stay warm at night.
The TOPS Electric Single Heated Underblanket is sold by Amazon for £25.99. There is a larger size for double beds costing £32.99.
Debenhams also offers deals during its January sales. The Neo Electric Heated Underblanket has been spotted with a significant 70% reduction, pricing the single at only £22, slashed from £52.99, and larger sizes for double and king beds are up for grabs as well.
