Claire King, who plays Kim Tate in Emmerdale, has been accused by soap fans of “playing” Dawn Taylor.
Kim, a long-standing character, has had a turbulent time recently. Last year, she discovered her husband Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) was cheating on her and in typical Kim fashion, she sought revenge.
Will found himself being blackmailed by an unknown person, who turned out to be Kim herself. This led to a heated confrontation between Will and Kim, with Kim determined to keep her wealth away from him.
Despite their troubled history, the pair decided to try again and planned to renew their vows on Christmas Day. However, unbeknownst to Kim, Will was plotting with her former financial adviser, Peter (David Michaels), to bring her down.

Adding another layer to the story, it was revealed that Peter was also working with a mysterious figure, later identified as Joe Tate (Ned Porteous), who was hell-bent on getting revenge on Kim Tate, according to Leeds Live.
The drama reached its climax on Christmas Day when Joe made a surprise appearance at Home Farm, shocking both Kim and Will.
Joe revealed the entire plot to Kim, but the revelations were overshadowed by Will suffering a fatal heart attack.
In the wake of Will’s death, Kim has been left heartbroken, while Will’s daughter Dawn (Olivia Bromley) is convinced Kim had a hand in his demise.
And this week, she resorted to desperate measures, drugging Kim in the hopes she would reveal all. Unfortunately, Kim suffered a seizure and was rushed to hospital.

She managed to make it through the incident unscathed, and to viewers’ amazement, Kim didn’t disclose the full details of the drugging incident to the authorities. Instead, she professed forgiveness towards Dawn, choosing to look ahead rather than dwell on the past.
Die-hard soap fans are now thoroughly convinced that Kim is only feigning her forgiveness. Debating heatedly on an Emmerdale fan page on Facebook, a member speculated, “Kim definitely has something up her sleeve.”
Another eager fan added their thoughts, saying: “Yes, she’s playing her and will get her well-deserved revenge on Dawn eventually because nothing works quickly in soaps.” Echoing this sentiment, another agreed: “Be careful Dawn, Kim is up to something and it will come out soon.”
Some enthusiasts also suspect that Kim has caught wind of Dawn’s recent clandestine smooch and plans to leverage this knowledge to corner her spouse, Billy Fletcher (played by Jay Kontzle). A theorist said, “Kim so knows about Dawn and Joe! Watch her use this to her advantage! Bye, Dawn!”
