Emmerdale viewers have been left stunned by actress Zoe Henry’s previously undisclosed role in another ITV soap. Henry, who first appeared in Emmerdale as Rhona Goskirk in 2001, quickly became a fan favourite due to her character’s dramatic storylines, which have included substance abuse, feuds, near-death experiences and affairs.
Currently, Rhona is embroiled in the mystery of her stepdaughter April Windsor’s (Amelia Flanagan) disappearance. The teenager was last seen entering an unfamiliar car driven by an unknown person on Christmas day.
Before joining the cast of Emmerdale, Henry had roles in several popular shows including Dalziel and Pascoe, The Bill, A Touch of Frost and Casualty. However, it’s her stint on Coronation Street in the late ’90s that has recently sparked conversation among fans.

Henry joined the Corrie cast in 1998, portraying Log Thwaite, the vegan girlfriend of Spider Nugent (Martin Hancock). Despite only appearing in six episodes, her character certainly stirred up some drama.
Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor), who was also interested in Spider, despised Log. In an attempt to get rid of her rival, Toyah tricked Log into eating a bacon sandwich and ensured Spider witnessed the act, reports Leeds Live.
As a result, Spider ended his relationship with Log for betraying their shared vegan values, leading to her exit from the show.
In 2007, Zoe made another appearance in Coronation Street, this time portraying a character named Casey Carswell who struck up a friendship with Claire Peacock, played by Julia Haworth. Nonetheless, her character veered into controversial territory as she engaged in an affair with Claire’s husband, Ashley Peacock, portrayed by Steven Arnold.

Reflecting on her roles in the iconic soap, Zoe didn’t hold back when discussing some of the character names she’s been given, humorously criticising Log Thwaite and Rhona Goskirk for being less than ideal.
In an interview with Metro, she reminisced: “It was my first job out of drama school and I was absolutely thrilled. Log was an ex-girlfriend of Spider, who turned up out of the blue but Toyah Battersby drove them apart. It was 24 years ago and I only did six episodes, but Georgia Taylor, who plays Toyah, is very sweet whenever I see her.”
Fans were left stunned when they recognised Zoe on a recent airing of Coronation Street. The revelation sparked surprise on social media platforms like Facebook where one viewer admitted: “I did not recognise her.”
Another echoed the sentiment: “I didn’t know that was Rhona she was young there.” While a third person confirmed their amazement: “I had to Google it and it is her!”
