Emmerdale’s Ruby Fox-Miligan faces marriage turmoil as DNA results exposed

Emmerdale’s Ruby Fox-Miligan, portrayed by Beth Cordingly, is facing a devastating revelation that could shatter her marriage. Ruby has been wrestling with the dreadful possibility that Caleb Miligan, played by William Ash, may not be the biological father of their daughter Steph, played by Georgia Jay.

This follows after Anthony Fox, depicted by Nicholas Day, sexually abused Ruby during her younger years, casting doubt on Steph’s paternity. In the episode aired on Wednesday (January 15), now available on ITVX, Ruby received the DNA results for Steph but found herself unable to confront the contents of the letter.

She later confided in her sister-in-law Chas Dingle, played by Lucy Pargeter, and resolved not to uncover the truth about Steph’s paternity. While Chas is not privy to the full story, she is aware that Ruby was sexually assaulted in the past.

Ruby decided to discard the letter, but not before Caleb stumbled upon it. A distraught and furious Caleb confronted Ruby with the shocking news that he isn’t Steph’s biological father, unaware of his wife’s traumatic history, reports Leeds Live.

Unable to disclose the truth, Ruby implored Caleb, asserting that Steph didn’t need to know and that they could weather this storm. However, an irate Caleb expelled her from Mill Cottage.

When Steph came home, Caleb informed her that he and Ruby had permanently parted ways. Despite being addressed as ‘dad’ by Steph, he opted not to reveal the reason behind their separation.

In the quaint setting of the village, Anthony was seen offering his support to Caleb, while Ruby remained hidden in the shadows, observing the scene.

The recent plot involving Ruby in Emmerdale has sparked a wave of concern among viewers, with many flocking to social media platforms to voice their unease.
