Emmerdale’s Wendy Posner has left the famous village in poignant scenes.
Actress Susan Cookson, who became a mainstay on the ITV soap since her introduction in 2019, has delivered some of the show’s most captivating plots.
It came to light this month that Cookson would be leaving after six years, and viewers saw her final emotional performance on Friday (January 17).
Wendy’s dramatic send-off involved getting caught up in a messy blackmail situation, where a scandal-hungry journalist exposed her troubled history and hinted at her involvement in April Windsor’s (Amelia Flanagan) vanishing act.

Rochelle remarked: “I feel that Wendy Posner could have a few opportunities come her way. Another soap like Coronation Street could approach her either to be a guest character or even create a storyline for her to come in and be part of.”
“Not only that, depending on the type of things she might be interested in, Celebrity based reality TV shows could be an option, if they are around for 2025, like Strictly as an example.”
